PH Ready For SWAN Full Council Meeting

State Capital is ready for the influx of the leadership of sports journalism in Nigeria as the umbrella body of Sports Journalists, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Swan get ready to storm the city for its 2015 National Full Council Meeting.
According to the chairman of the Local organizing committee, LOC for the event, Mr Honour Sirawoo, who is also chairman of Rivers SWAN, every arrangement has been put in place to ensure a peaceful and successful meeting of the association.
He said that the event scheduled to hold between the 25th and 28th of this month is the fulfillment of promise made to the National Executive Committee of the association by His Excellency Chief Nyesom Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State a few weeks ago when they paid him a courtesy visit.
Sirawoo noted that the development further underlines Chief Wikes administrations commitment towards Sports promotion and development, considering the huge amount of attention paid to the sector by his government within a short time in office.
He believes that his demonstrable interest is sports development will surely take the sector, tourism and recreation to the next level in the state.
Meanwhile, the Loc has within the week set up five sub-committees for efficient organisation of the Full Council meeting.
The National Executive Committee members and all chairman and secretaries of the states in the country victory FCT are expected to arrive on Tuesday next week, embark on visitations to different stakeholders on Wednesday and hold their meeting proper on Thursday at the main auditorium of Ernest Ikoli press centre, Moscow Road.
The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by several dignitaries including the state governor. Who is the Special Guest of  Honour and the chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, His majesty, King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, JP, Jeki V, Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom, as the royal father of the day.
