El Kanemi coach Munir
Abdul-Azeez has accepted Rangers superiority after his team crashed out of this year’s Federation Cup to the Enugu club.
Rangers trounced El Kanemi 3-0 in Abuja on Wednesday to qualify for the semifinal of the cup competition, where they will battle another Nigeria premier league side Lobi Stars.
Two second-half goals from Odah Onoriode and a superb first half stoppage time free kick from Osas Okoro gave Rangers the day.
“In a nutshell, the result was not that bad because I lost to a better side,” the El Kanemi coach conceded.
“In the second half our performance was very, very bad. We lost this game due to injury. In the second half I brought out two of my key players due to injury.
“The last two goals came as a result of inability of my central defence to meet up with the opponents’ speed.”
