Enyimba goalkeeper, Femi
Thomas, has said he hopes to make the most of another chance to fly with the Super Eagles after some superlative displays for his title-chasing club this season.
Thomas has been picked on a 23-man squad of players from the domestic league to prepare for a 2017 AFCON qualifier in Tanzania next month and he told newsmen  he is thrilled about it and ready to give his best as he looks forward to learn from Lille shot stopper Vincent Enyeama.
Former Flying Eagles goalkeeper Thomas, who has been one of the consistent goalkeepers in Nigeria league over several seasons, got his first major invitation to Eagles ahead of AFCON 2013, but he did not make the final cut. He was also in goal for home-based Eagles in 2008 in a memorial game for late Golden Eaglets coach Yemi Tella.
“I am so happy and excited about my invitation to the Super Eagles, though this is not my first time I have been called up to the Eagles. I am looking forward to make the cut for the Tanzania game,” the agile goalkeeper.
“The first time I was invited to the Eagles was for home-based team in 2008 in a memorial game against the Eaglets in memory of late coach Yemi Tella.
“I was also called to the Eagles camp for the 2013 AFCON.
“This invitation has proved to me I am being monitored and it also tells me I must continue to work harder.”
He said he looks forward to picking up a few tricks from Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama.
