The Rivers State Cricket
Association (RSCA) has concluded arrangements to held a coaching clinic from tomorrow to the 15th of this month in Port Harcourt.
Head Coach of the association, Tonye Timinadi, disclosed this yesterday in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
The programme is geared towards introducing the sport to youngsters who can be used to replace those who have passed their prime, when the time comes.
According to him, the training is basically to enable young and interested kids to have the idea about the game and start playing the game early. He said that this would help them acquire the needed skills of the sport.
“When we retire we need continuity of the game of cricket in the state and the national level”, he said.
It would be recalled that 2015 Regional Cricket Championship for Under 15 boys started at the weekend in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the female virgin of the competition for Under 17 girls will kick-off on the 8th of this month, also in Abuja.
