Contractors Resolve To Maintain Presence On Project Sites

Contractors handling projects for the Federal Ministry of Works, have resolved to maintain presence on project sites to ensure good roads across the country, a statement said.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Ministry’s Director of Information, Mr Bisi Agbonhin,  in Abuja, yesterday.
According to the statement, the contractors’ resolution was the outcome of a meeting they held with the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Dauda Kigbu, on Wednesday.
It said that the meeting commended the efforts of the Federal Government in addressing the prevailing pressure on the budget against the background of dwindling resources.
The statement said the major contractors agreed that their equipment and personnel would remain on all the project sites nationwide for the maintenance of the roads.
It said the permanent secretary expressed the ministry’s determination to resolve the outstanding issues, to enable the contractors to execute the various projects they were handling.
According to the statement, representatives of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc; CCECC Nigeria Limited; Setraco Nigeria Limited; CGC Nigeria Limited; Gitto Construzioni General Nigeria Limited and Triacta Nigeria Limited, attended the meeting.
Others present were Salini Nigeria Limited ; Borini Prono & Co. Nigeria Limited, Arab Contractors Nigeria Limited, Bulletine Construction Nigeria Limited, Mothercat Construction Limited and P.W Nigeria Limited.
