Coaches For GOA B’ball Camp Named

The coaches for the 2015
Giants of Africa Basketball Camp have been selected for the 3-day summer camp, scheduled to run from today to Wednesday in Lagos.
This is contained in a statement by the Giants of Africa Basketball Foundation last week.
“The giants of Africa Basketball Foundation, in conjunction with Nestle Milo, will again sponsor the annual Top 50 basketball summer camp.
“The international coaches, who will be flying into the country to participate at this event, are Masai Ujiri, the General Manager, Toronto Raptors, Patrick Mutombo, Assistant Coach, Denver Nuggets.
“Others are Ime Udoka, Assistant Coach of San Antonio Spurs, Jama Mahlalela, Assistant Coach Toronto Raptors and Patrick Englebrecht. Scouting Director, Toronto Raptors International,’’ it said.
The statement added that there would also be some home-based coaches, who had worked with the programme over the years and who had been selected for the event.
The coaches are Adeka Daudu Technical Director, Mark Mentors and Emmanuel Odah, FCT Rocks/Assistant Coach D’Tigress.
Others are Lateef Erinfolami of Lagos Islanders, Peter Ahmedu, Mark Mentors and Michael Akuboh, a Scout from Toronto Raptors.
It said that in addition to court sessions with the youngsters during the year, the programme would be hosting two documentary crews from Toronto, Canada.
“The Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment (MLSE) and the RIM Blackberry Crews will be shooting documentaries to commemorate the founder (GOA), Ujiris’ journey in basketball.
