… Arraign Two Women For Allegedly Stealing N4.3m

Okoro, 38 and Blessing Onoja, 36, have appeared before an Enugu Magistrates’ Court over alleged theft of N4. 3million.
Joined with the two women was one Kenny Robinson, 40, all of Enugu North Local Government Area, who were charged by the police for conspiracy and stealing.
The Police Prosecutor, Mr Cajethan Ugwu said that the matter was reported to the Independence Police Station, Enugu by the complainant Dr Miriam Obi on July 29.
Ugwu told the court that between November 15, 2013 and September 9, 2014, the three accused persons allegedly stole the sum of N3, 437, 880 belonging to the complainant.
He added that the accused persons also stole another N920, 000 from her, bringing the total amount to N4, 357, 880.
The prosecutor said the accused persons conspired and paid the money into their various private bank accounts.
Ugwu objected to granting the accused bail “because of the amount involved”.
