Anambra, Firm Sign Pact On Standard Abattoir

ernment and Tricity Integrated Farms Ltd, have signed a joint venture agreement for the construction of a standard abattoir at Amansea in the state capital.
The Managing Director, Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), Mr Joe-Billy Ekwunife and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Afam Mbanefo, signed on behalf of the state government.
Mr Dozie Abajue signed on behalf of Tricity Integrated Farms Ltd.
Also, Mbanefo commended the state governor for driving the meat industry with the collaboration of the investor.
According to him, the semi-mechanised standard abattoir will help drive hygienic meat industry in the state and create employment for youths.
Responding, Abajue said that the joint venture investment had culminated into Hyper Farms Ltd. and commended Governor Willy Obiano for ensuring sustainable economic development and strategic alliances with private investors.
He further lauded him for improving security in the state.
The investor assured that work on the project would begin by the end of September, adding that it would be inaugurated after 15 months.
“What we are bringing to the table of the Anambra people is a state-of-the-art abattoir that will be second to none in Nigeria.
“The design is highly technical and will be sustainable to bring about economic empowerment and development of the state,’’Abajue assured.
