ABOLGA To Train 30 Youth On Technical Skills

Committee of Abua/Odual Local Government Area, Chief Oyekuotor Ukwe, has reaffirmed the council’s determination to train over thirty youths in the area on various technical skills to boost their living standard.
Ukwe, who made this essertion during a reception organised on his honour by the Arugu’s family of Amalem Community of Abolga pledged to also initiate scholarship schemes for students to enhance the educational advancement of the area.
He described Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s vision policy as a recipe towards the socio-economic development of the state and charged the security operatives not to relent in their efforts towards flushing out criminalities in the area.
Also speaking, the chairman, caretaker committee of Amalem Community, Chief Itoemugh Okurugbo enjoined the council’s boss to intensify the campaigns against cultism to ensure peace and development in the local government area.
Responding on behalf of the family, Chief Benjamin Ukwe commended Governor Wike for appointing their son, Chief Onyekuotor Ukwe as chairman of the council, describing the gesture as laudable.
Highlight of the occasion was the award of a chieftaincy title to the council boss as the ‘ODIGHINOM IIBI ONE’ of Amalem Community, meaning a philanthropist who has the passion to carry all along in the scheme of things.
