RSG To Partner Police On Healthcare Delivery

The Rivers State Govern
ment says it would partner the Nigeria Police Force in the provision of Healthcare Services in the state.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo stated this when the Assistant Inspector General of Police, (AIG) Medical South-South Zone, Dr. Adenike Abuwa and her team visited her at Government House, Port Harcourt
Banigo expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the police in providing health-care service in the state, and assured that the Governor  Nyesom Wike-led administration is committed to improving healthcare infrastructure and manpower.
“I can assure you that we will continue to partner you to achieve greater development so that you will be able to offer efficient services to security personnel and your host communities,” she declared.
The deputy governor noted that the Police Comprehensive Medical Centre in Port Harcourt has offered excellent services so far, and described the AIG as a dedicated professional colleague known for her service to humanity.
She urged medical practitioners to always uphold the tenents of the medical profession in the discharge of their duties.
Earlier, the Assistant Inspector General of Police Medical, South-South Zone, Dr. Adenike Abuwa solicited the cooperation of the state government in the implementation of  the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
According to the AIG, the NHIS is open to all interested persons, and urged the people of the state to avail themselves of the services of the Police Comprehensive Medical Centre adjacent the state High Court Complex.
