According to the statement, also to be investigated are the financial activities and employment racketeering in the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) under Professor Augustine Ahiauzu.
The statement further added that  members of the dissolved commissions must explain how the sum of N2billion  paid to them by the Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s government was spent. excluding other payments made to Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) that must be accounted for.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has frowned at the pace of work on the Trans-Amadi/Woji/East West Road, as he urged the contractor, Ronier Construction Company (RCC) to speed up work.
He told newsmen after an unscheduled inspection of the road project in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that he was not satisfied at the pace of work so far.
In his words,” It is an important road that needs completion, and government will do everything it can to make sure that funding will not be an impediment.”
The governor assured that funds will be released next week to the contractor, warning that he will beef up inspection to ensure the work is completed in time.
He therefore charged the contractor to fasten the pace of work between Slaughter to Garrison axis so as to ease the pains of firms and motorists who ply the road.
Going by the assurance of the construction firm, Wike disclosed plans to release some funds next week to fasten the pace of work.
The construction firm had told the governor that it will complete the portion between Garrison and Slaughter in four months time, excluding bridges and other culverts along the road.
The 10-km road project was awarded by the Chibuike Amaechi led administration at the cost of N47billion, and  links Trans-Amadi Industrial Area, Woji and Elelenwo communities, and terminates at the East-West Road.
