Rivers Judiciary Gets New Chief Registrar …As Judges Begin Vacation Next Month

In its bid to reposition the Rivers State Judiciary for efficient service delivery, the State Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) has approved the appointment of Mrs Vivienne L. Kobani-Buzugbe as the new acting Chief Registrar, High Court, Port Harcourt.
Mrs Buzugbe replaces, Mr. Adoki-Leonard, who has since been redeployed.
A statement by the acting Secretary of the Commission, Victor C. Ugoji, which was made available to the press, yesterday, said the appointment took effect from  July 16, this year.
The statement further said that the Commission also approved Mr. Amobi Davidson, as Acting Deputy Chief Registrar (Administration), High Court, while Odiki Daniel-Kalio was appointed Deputy Chief Registrar (Administration), Customary Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt.
Meanwhile, the new Acting Chief Registrar of the High Court, Mrs Vivinne L. Kobani-Buzugbe has announced that judges of the Rivers State Judiciary would be proceeding on their 2015 annual vacation with effect from Monday, August 3rd this year.
According to her, the judges would resume duties in September,  this year, adding that during the period, of the vacation, judges would be appointed to hold the forte.
