TP Mazembe president
Moise Katumbi is confident his team will rebound from its home draw against Al Hilal in the 2015 Champions League.
Mazembe were held to a 0-0 draw by their Sudanese opponents in their opening Group A match played in Lubumbashi.
“This is our first game we don’t have to lose hope, we are going to fight for our place to qualify for the semifinals,” Katumbi said.
“There  are good days and bad days. They didn’t play badly and the Sudan side is also a very big team so we should give them a lot of respect.
“I think what was important for us is not starting on a losing note. The draw is quite bad for us and we have to prepare well for the next game.”
Katumbi added that the current lengthy mid-season break was also affecting the team’s form.
“The league stopped almost two months ago which is not good for us. I think when we start the league again that should give us a lot of chances to do better,” Katumbi said.
Mazembe are currently third in Group A tied on one point with second positioned Al Hilal and two points behind leaders Smouha of Egypt who beat Moghreb Athletic Tetouan 3-2 on Sunday.
The DR Congo giants travel to Morocco on this weekend on match-day-two to face bottom placed Tetouan .
