Diddy Tops List Of Forbes’ Five Richest Hip-Hop Artistes
Forbes has unveiled
its list of hip hop five wealthiest artistes for 2015 and it was a big battle between Dr. Dre and Diddy, but Diddy eventually topped the list as the wealthiest artiste for 2015.
Diddy’s estimated net worth according to Forbes, is $735 million. His empire includes huge stakes in TV networks Revolt, clothing line Sean John, Alkaline Water brand, Aqua hydrate and new tequila Deleon.
Dr. Dre took the second position. After selling his head phone line to Apple, the super producer pocketed $500 million after taxes to bring his networth to estimated $700 million.
Jay Z comes in third with an estimated net worth of $500 million due to assets such as Rock Nation and his Armand De Brignat champagne brand.
50 Cent comes in fourth with $155 million hoping to repeat the success of the Vitamin Water sale via stakes in SMS audio head phones line, Effen Vodka and Frigo under wear.
Closing out the list is Birdman with $150 million due to the success of his cash money Records empire. However, his overall number is down from $160 million in 2014 due to rumours that many of its big acts plan on leaving, most noteably Lil Wayne.
