Spurs To Dump Adebayor
Emmanuel Adebayor is
edging closer to a move away from Tottenham this summer, as Spurs seem determined to offload the £100,000-a-week Togo star.
A third choice striker under manager Mauricio Pochettino this season, behind Harry Kane and Roberto Soldado, the 31-year-old made just 9 starts for the North London side in the 2013-14 Premier League campaign.
And while the former Arsenal and Manchester City hitman insisted he could not wait for the pre-season to resume to show his club his passion, he still does not fit into the Argentine coach plans for the 2015-16 edition.
According to Tidesports source Spurs are even ready to carry on contributing to his hefty salary to have him off their wage bill, with Tottenham boss Daniel Levy putting a £5million price-tag on the player who has a year left on his contract.
Adebayor, who led Togo to a 2-1 victory over Liberia in Lomé on 14 June, in their Group A opener of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, just took part in the 2015 Stars Soccer Fiesta in Kumasi together with musicians, movie stars and fellow football players, including Asamoah Gyan, Jonathan Mensah and Christian Atsu.
