The MoU was signed yesterday in Government House, Port Harcourt.
With the MoU endorsed by both the state government and the construction companies, Governor Nyesom Wike, stated that the project will cover about 33km of road, stretching from the old Port Harcourt Township and Diobu areas, and would be delivered in four months.
He recalled that the programme was to fulfill the promise he made on inauguration to rid Port Harcourt of bad roads and to revamp decaying infrastructure within the city centre.
Wike said the choice of the two construction companies was as a result of their reputation to deliver standard and quality jobs, saying their works in Abuja and Akwa Ibom State speak volumes of their ability to meet expectations.
