Rivers Angels Coach Expresses Commitment
Assistant Coach of Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt, Whyte Ogbondah, has said that the break in the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) would not stop his team from achieving its target this football season.
Coach Ogbondah, made this known recently in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the team will continue its training exercises in order to keep fit for the task ahead, saying that the club is set to achieve her set goals this season.
He assured fans of the club that the team would do everything with within their reach to the titles won last season, that is the Women Federation (FA) Cup and the League title.
It would be recalled that the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) Board directed that all league matches be postponed till after the 2015 FIFA Women World Cup Champsionship which is scheduled to hold 6th of this month in Canada.
The coach further promised that the players would not relent in their daily training sessions, saying that the absence of their key players would not stop them from the routine exercise of the team.
However, the Angels started the league on a good note, defeating new comers, Capital City Doves of Abuja 4-0 in their week 1 game played at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.
