The command, he said, had also arrested  a two-man gang —Messrs Kelechi Nwogu and Ebuka Ibe, who, over the years, had been stealing children and trafficking in children.
He vowed that the command would continue to intensify efforts until criminals were completely subdued.
The Chairman, Imo State Council of the NUJ, Mr. Innocent Igwe, commended the commissioner of police for his quick response when the NAN journalist was abducted.
Igwe urged him to continue to fight crime especially kidnapping, adding that Imo NUJ would continue to partner with the police to ensure reduction in crime rate.
He also urged the commissioner to ensure that the command recovered Opara’s missing car.
