PH Cricket League Gets New Date

The 2014/2015 Port
Harcourt Cricket League Championship has rescheduled its final play off for June 6 at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Cricket Pitch. The play off was originally fixed for the 18th of April this year at the same venue.
The final encounter of the championship is expected to be played  between Benie and Whales Cricket Clubs of Port Harcourt.
While the third place match of the competition would be decided between defending champions Panthers and K-II Cricket Club on the same date.
Meanwhile, Benvic Cricket Club leads the league table with eight points from 12 matches played so far, while, Whales C.C. are on six (6) points behind the league leaders.
Also, defending champions Panthers cricket club and K-II are on four (4) points each and are paired for the third player game.
It would be recalled that Benvic Cricket Club thrashed K-II by 43 runs in the last league match to get to the final, while Whales C. C. beat Panthers C.C. by four Wickets to move to second position on the log.
