Ogunbote To Replace Ikhana At Enyimba?
There are strong
indications that Enyimba coach Kadiri Ikhana may soon quit for Sharks coach Gbenga Ogunbote to take over.
A player of Enyimba, who does not want his name in print disclosed that Ikhana may soon be out of the team as there are speculations about that in the team.
The player said, “The game against Dolphins was not bad, everybody came out to play for our coach, Kadiri Ikhana.”
When asked if the coach is under pressure from the management, the player sad, “I don’t really know if he is under pressure, but he walked up to us before the match against Dolphins and said we should play for him, there are signs already that he may leave.
“Though not certain. There are serious speculations around the team that Ikhana may not finish the season with us, and that Gbenga Ogunbote will take over from him.”
Ogunbote, who led Sunshine Stars to the semis of both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, has returned to the sidelines at Sharks after he was hospitalised for several weeks following an armed attack by a gang of hoodlums in Port Harcourt.
