NSC Officer Wants Nigerians To Embrace Exercise

Commission’s (NSC),Liaison Officer, National Stadium, Lagos, Tayo Oreweme ha urged Nigerians to embrace exercise for physical fitness and sound health.
She told newsmen in Lagos that exercise should not be restricted to athletes alone, but all humans.
“Exercise is key and vital to humans. We all need it because it does a whole lot of good to the body.
“There are various forms of exercise to choose from to suit our various physiques,’’ Oreweme said.
The liaison officer said obese people should also embrace exercise more to stay healthy.
“A merry heart doeth good like medicine. You don’t need medicine when you can do exercise.
“Exercise brings about merry and healthy living.’’
She, however, advised Nigerians particularly men “to leave the bottle’’ (alcohol) and support the new form of exercise – yoga – which,
she said, should be encouraged in the country.
Oreweme also said Yoga is a good form of exercise that is open to people of all ages.
“It is an easy form of exercise which brings about unity of the body, mind and spirit.
“It helps build up a healthy body and a stress-free mind which also aids productivity.”
