Nigerian Kickboxers Commence Training For Competition

The World Kickboxing Association W.K.A, Nigerian Chapter has begin intensive training session inorder to contest favourably in the forthcoming World Kickboxing championship in Spain later this year.

President of the W.K.A, Nigeria Sensei Victor Bassey, who made this known, Tuesday, in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt said that the body is prepared to participate in the world tournament and make the country proud.

According to him, the competition is scheduled to hold in November, saying that the kickboxers are expected to take their training more seriously as to compete to victory.

The W.K.A Nigeria Chapter has been invited to take part in the 2015 world kickboxing championship in spain. We will commence our screening programme as soon as possible”Sensei Bassey said. He stated that the exercise would help to assess athletes who could represent the country at the competition.

Bassey, therefore, appealed to corporate bodies and well-meaning individuals in the country to assist the association in sponsoring the team to the championship.

Meanwhile, Bassey who is also the Nigeria representative has said that he is confident that the team would do the country proud in Spain if well motivated and encouraged.
