Monthly Sanitation Exercise Holds In Rivers,’Morrow

The Rivers State Waste Management Authority has announced that the monthly sanitation exercise will hold tomorrow across the state.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Sole Administrator of the authority, Jerry Needam, reminded the general public “as usual, human and vehicular movements will be restricted from 7am to 10am during the sanitation hours.”
He quoted the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah, as  appealing to all residents to fully participate by cleaning their environment, clearing their drains, bagging their wastes and dropping them at approved receptacles only.
The sole administrator also warned that anyone caught violating the restriction of movement order will be arrested and charged before the sanitation court.
He appealed to companies, corporate organizations and individuals to donate their pay loaders, trucks and other equipment for easy evacuation of wastes on the Sanitation Day
He also charged all those on essential services or duties to obtain permit from the office of the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, along Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt.
