Udoh has been allowed to leave the Super Eagles training camp in Abuja because he is under the weather, but coach Stephen Keshi said he expects the player back when he is fully recovered.
“Mfon Udoh is an important member of this team and he will be back once he has fully recovered,”Keshi said.
“He reported to camp so that the Super Eagles medics can assess and also advise him. They have asked him to take enough rest and avoid any strenuous activity so that his recovery can be faster and more comprehensive.
“Once he fully recovers, he will always get his chance with the team,”
Mfon Udoh  set a new goals record in the Nigeria league when he scored 23 goals last season, to smash the 20-goals mark set by Jude Aneke several seasons ago.
The Eagles are preparing for next month’s AFCON qualifier at home in Kaduna against Chad.
