Group Applauds LG Boss Over Security

A socio- political group in
Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, “Ukwuoma Support Group has commended the chairman of the local government area for his effort in stabilising security in the area.
The coordinator of the group, Hon. Hope Onyeche, made this commendation at Okehi while speaking with journalists over the weekend noting that the recent security arrangement put in place in the area by the council boss has made both economic and social life to return in the area.
Hon. Onyeche averred that the people of the area now live in peace and not with fear  adding that most of the communities abandoned by people as a result of fear of attack in the past had returned to their areas.
He urged the chairman of the local government not to relent in his efforts in ensuring that absolute peace and security were attained in the area.
The coordinator of the group also commended the security personnel for the good work they have done in the area especially those cult prone communities by ensuring that absolute peace and normal life activities were returned.
According to him, “most communities such as Okehi I&II, Obibi, Igbodo, Ulakwo, Mba, Akwa among others were hitherto held under hostage and crippled by the activities of cultists in the area”.
He used the opportunity to call on the security operatives to arrest anybody found indulging and aiding the cultists no matter how highly the person is in the society adding that the organization would continue to work with the relevant authorities in the area to ensure that peace and security are fully restored in the area.
He called every sons and daughters in the are to assist the security officials across the local government area with information that would help them stamp out  cultism and other crimes in the area.
