‘Security ‘ll Be My Priority’ – APC Chairmanship Candidate

gress chairmanship candidate for Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Barr. Reginald Ukwuoma has assured that improved security of lives and property would be the cardinal focus of his administration if elected.
Barr. Ukwuoma gave this indication while speaking to journalists shortly after he was declared winner of the APC Chairmanship primary held at the Civic Centre, in Port Harcourt over the weekend.
The former Chairman of the council promised that he would improve on the past security arrangements put in place to guarantee effective protection of every citizen in the area.
According to him, it was the duty of every government at all level to protect lives and property, adding that he will continue to work in that direction.
Barr. Ukwuoma assured the people of the area to continue to have faith and trust government, adding that the security challenges facing the people in recent time would be a thing of history.
He vowed to tackle the problem of cult related crises in the area with the seriousness it deserve while calling on the youths of the area who are perpetrating the crime to have a rethink or be prepared to face the wrath of the law.
The former council boss used the opportunity to thank the security operatives especially members of the State Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) for their diligence in fighting the war against cultism and other anti-social activities in the area.
He urged the people to be security conscious in their areas and be ready to partner with government to fight crimes in their respective communities.
