SARS Arrest Dey-Well Kingpin In Etche
The men of the Special
Anti-Robbery Squard (SARS) of the Rivers State Police Command has arrested a factional leader of the dreaded Dey-well cult group terrorizing residents of Etche Local Government Area of the State.
The arrest of the Dey- Well gang leader, popularly called “Togo” came barely a week, when the command declared what it described as operation fish and crack down all the cult groups in the area.
The news of the arrest of the gang leader was greeted with joy and happiness over what they described as a big relief.
Mr. Togo was allegedly arrested by men of SARS at Ndashi community who was acting on a tip of information.
An eye witness who spoke to The Tide on the condition of anonymity said the cult gang leader put up some resistance before he was finally arrested him after 30 minutes gun fire.
According to him, Ndashi Community has become a hide out for Dey-well cult groups in the area adding that the area has heaved a sigh of relief.
The arrested gang leader was described by many indigenes as the most dreaded cultist and has wreck havoc on many families in the area.
The acting police spokesperson, Grace Iringe Koko could not be reached to comment at the time of filing this report as she was said to be engaged in an official assignment outside the command headquarters.
