The accommodation seeker, Ayodele Ayedum disclosed to journalists that the fake agent collect the said sum from him on the pretence that he was the caretaker of a mini flat in Ikate area of Surulere in February.
He said that it was their agreement that the mini flat will be given to him on rent on the payment of the N550,000.
“At the time I wanted to pack into the supposedly rented mini-flat, I discovered that it had been occupied by another tenant.
“I confronted him, but he said that he was waiting for the landlord’s clearance, and since then he disappeared and I have not seen him”, the victim said.
The accommodation seeker however told newsmen that luck ran out him on the said day when he spotted him in a restaurant, with the help of the machinery he put in place.
