APC Chairmanship Candidate Moves To Promote Peace

The chairmanship can
didate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Andoni Local Government Area, Hon. Alpheus Imie Benson has promised to promote the unity and peaceful coexistence of communities in the area, if elected.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after his adoption by the party as its candidate in the forth-coming local government election in the state, Hon. Benson said that his administration woul work with the various security agencies to ensure peace in all communities in the area.
The APC chairmanship candidate also said that his administration would link all communities to the national grid, while skill acquisition programme will be instituted for youths in the area.
According to him, the incoming council administration will source for employment opportunities in companies operating within Andoni territory for qualified youths.Other programmes which the administration will carry out according to him include; regular payment of bursaries to students of Andoni origin in higher institution, improvement in healthcare delivery services as well as the construction of information communication and technology (ICT) centres across the local government.
Hon. Benson who also pledged to institute a loan scheme for market women to boost economic activities, said that the administration would explore all available  opportunities to improve   the internally-generated source of the council.
He commended the party for the opportunity to serve and pledged not to disappoint them.
