Ahoada East CTC Chairman Regains Freedom

Committee Chairman, Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state, Chief Cassidy Ikegbidi, has regained freedom after two weeks of captivity.
It would be recalled that Chief Ikegbidi was abducted by unknown gunmen in his home town Yikibo community last two weeks.
Speaking to journalists in Ahoada East, Monday, the spokesperson to the chairman, Blessing Onyegiri said the council boss has since regained his freedom and had also reunited with his family members as well as friends.
According to Blessing no ransom was paid to secure his release adding that the council boss has been admitted in a hospital within the state where he was undergoing medical treatment.
He used the opportunity to thank everybody who had in one way or the other contributed to ensure that the  Ahoada council boss regain his freedom.
Confirming the incident, the acting spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace I. Ikiriko, said Chief Cassidy Ikegbidi has been released by his abductors and had also reunited with his family and friends.
