‘Rangers Will End Trophyless Run’

Enugu Rangers defender Ousmane Sane has declared that his club will end a very long wait for a major trophy this season.
Rangers last won a major trophy in 2004, when they won the Super Cup by beating league and cup winners Dolphins.
Rangers featured in the Super Cup that year because they finished runners-up in the cup to Dolphins, who won the double.
They last won the Nigeria league title in 1984. They won Nigeria league in 1974, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982 and 1984.
Rangers won FA Cup in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1981 and 1983 and also won African Cup winners Cup in 1977.
Senegalese defender Sane has now declared that with the quality in the team, the coaches and the spirit among the players, they are ready to redeem the club’s name and take it back to the top.
