Group Wants Thorough Probe On Synagogue Building Collapse
The Yoruba Youth Lib
eration Movement (YYLM) has called for a thorough investigation into the cause of the collapsed building of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Michael Oluwafisayo, president of the group, who made the call in a statement recently said that all hands must be on deck to investigate the cause of the collapse, adding that this would correct the perception of the public against the church.
He alleged that some people were bent on giving the church a bad name because of what he described as their hatred for the founder of the church.
Oluwafisayo said that the movement was also sad about the unfortunate incident that occurred on September 12, 2014, adding however that the church had contributed in lifting the image of the country in no small measure.
The group’s president also said that Nigerian Youth had benefited from the teaching and healing of the synagogue church founder, adding that they had equally been major beneficiaries of his scholarship and philanthropic gestures.
He commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, describing it as the most trying moment in the synagogue family, and urged Nigerians to always celebrate those who were passionate about taking the country out of the doldrums, which he said the founder of Synagogue represented.
It would be recalled that scores of worshippers who went from both within and outside Nigeria to worship at SCOAN and who lodged at the church hotel lost their lives to the collapsed building.
Oluwafisayo also called on Nigerian youths to shun violence, pointing out that violence in whatever form will not do the nation any good.
