Last week’s armed attack
on the Fenerbache team bus has further convinced Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike he has to walk away from the Turkish champions where he earns 2.5 million Euros a year. Top sources informed Tidesports source that Emenike, like most other Fenerbache stars, was devastated by the attack in which the team bus driver was hurt.
Emenike has not hidden the fact that he wants out at Fenerbache after he lost the support of the fans and he struggled to score goals.
The armed attack has now been described as “the final straw that broke the camel’s back” as the big striker is more than convinced he needs to quit the Istanbul giants if he were to be back at his best.
“Emenike has been shattered by the attack. It has further convinced him he needs to quit Fenerbache notwithstanding the fact that he earns a staggering 2.5 million Euros in a year there,” the source informed.
England remains his preferred destination, but there are still no offers on the table for him to consider.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick has meanwhile called up the striker to reassure him of the country’s support in this trying time in his career.
