Commissioner Seeks Departments, Agencies’ Synergy

The Commissioner for Ag
riculture and Natural Resources, in Cross River State, Dr. Ukam U. Edodi, has
call on heads of departments and agencies in the ministry to shun territorial behaviour in order to  enhance effective service delivery.
He made the call at an enlarged ministerial management meeting held at the conference room of Ministry of Agriculture, Calabar.
Edodi frowned at, “I don’t know syndrome” of some directors and informed them that, no office is permanent in the ministry, since officers could be moved from one post to another.
He further solicited for team work and asked each department and agency to collaborate with one another for the overall interest of the people.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Catherine Egozi, maintained that, the joy of service is to create impact in order to leave the place better than you met it, urging staff to obey civil service rules and adhere strictly to the oath of secrecy of the service.
In a related development, the permanent secretary, Mrs. Catherine Egozi has directed that, henceforth, the last Friday of every month be set aside to keep the premises of the ministry clean.
Mrs. Egozi noted that, “work is not all about money, but cleanliness should, as well be, the priority of staff, irrespective of level, since cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
