The Senator Magnus Abe Campaign Organization has described reports credited to the Rivers State Chairman of PDP, Felix Obuah of PDP alleging inducement of Ogoni pastors and chiefs to petition the Rivers State election tribunal by Sen. Magnus Abe as a figment of Obuah’s imagination.
In a statement in Port Harcourt, yesterday, the organization remined Obuah that “Abe is a serving Senator representing Rivers South-East in the National Assembly, so could meet with his constituents whenever the need arises”.
It observed that the Senator or his associates do not need to induce already aggrieved voters to testify as witnesses over a concocted exercise that did not allow them choose their representatives.
The organization expressed shock that Obuah was jubilating over a purported election that independent monitors across the world have unanimously condemned.
“Did Senator Abe also bribe the European Union, United Nations, United States Embassy, domestic and international observers that described the exercise as a charade and rape of democracy”? the organization queried.
It said, “Thousands of disenfranchised Rivers people are determined and ready to testify against the day robbery Obuah is celebrating, and cheap blackmail will not deter them”, enlisting Obuah and his cohorts to dance to the rhythm of the music they played rather than look for where to heap blames.
The organization disclosed that it was not loosing sleep over non existing issue called elections because it has enough evidence and legal batons to secure victory for Senator Abe.
It urged Rivers people, particularly the people of Rivers South-East as well as All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the state not to panic; as, the genuine wish of the electorate in the choice of their representatives will soon be met.
