2015 Glo League: Enyimba Striker Targets 30 Goals
Nigeria league all-time record goal scorer Mfon Udoh has declared that his target this season is to score 30 goals to shatter his own record of 23 goals, which he set last season.
The former Akwa United striker is already the leading scorer this season having scored four goals in the six-week-old league.
The Enyimba hitman said he always aim higher since he turned professional and his goal target informed the reason why he chose to wear jersey number 30 this season.
”I thank God for my two goals and the victory over Sharks. I am looking forward to set a new goal-scoring record. My aim has been to go higher, not backwards,” he told only AfricanFootball.com
”In the 2012/2013 season, I scored 15 goals; last season, I scored 23, now I want to break that record and score up to 30 goals.
”Thirty goals is my target for this season and that is why I chose jersey number 30 this season, but that will be if I will still be in Nigeria till the end of the season.”
The Nigeria league all-time hotshot with 23 goals has so far netted four goals in the new season.
”I am really thrilled at the prospect of setting another goal-scoring record in the Nigeria league. Realistically, I believe that I can further raise the bar at the end of the season,” he told our source
”Surely it won’t be easy and I can’t do it alone but with the co-operation of my team mates, it is realisable.”
