RSG Donates 50 Patrol Vans For Security

The State Governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi has donated 50 patrol vehicles to security operatives in the state ahead of the March 28 and April 11,2015 elections and to curb rising criminal activities in the state.
The security operatives that benefitted from the donation include: The Police, Department of State Security, DSS, Army, Navy and the Airforce.
Governor Amaechi who was represented during official the handover ceremony by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr George Feyii, SSG, urged the security operatives to make judicious use of the patrol vehicles to ensure the safety of lives and property ahead of the General elections in the state.
The Governor expressed confidence that with the 50 patrol vehicles donated by his administration, security operatives in state will be able to tackle the challenges of insecurity and acts of lawlessness that would scuttle the elections.
Responding on behalf of Service Commanders in the State, the Commissioner of Police, Dan Bature, commended the state Governor, Amaechi for the kind gesture.
Bature also gave the indication that the 50 Hilux Patrol Vans will be effectively used to ensure that law and order nooks and crannies of the state are maintained.
