Police Arrest Six Cultists In Anambra

The Police have ar
rested six cultists in Ogidi, near Onitsha, Anambra, for causing havoc and disturbing the peace of Ogidi Community.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Ogidi Police Station, Mr Hassan Musa, said the cult members were arrested at different locations in the town, following a tip-off.
Musa said the suspects had confessed that they had committed the crime and would be charged to court after investigation.
He reiterated the resolve of the police to rid the town and entire Onitsha area of criminals.
He said with the cooperation of vigilante groups, commercial motorcycle operators, tricycle operators and other stakeholders, “the current crime-free level would be sustained”.
“We also carry out steady raid on black spots in order to nab budding criminals.
“And with the cooperation of the people, Nigerians here would sleep with their two eyes closed,” the DPO said.
