Kalu Berates Abia Gov

Eminent business mogul
and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has described Governor T. A. Orji as a man living in the dark and gloominess of relics.
He noted that the past eight years of the current administration in Abia State has been a setback for the state, adding that Governor Orji and his family had mortgaged the future of Abians.
Kalu, who spoke through his media office while reacting to a call by Abia State Government asking him to apologize or risk a legal action for calling Governor Orji a liar and an incompetent personality, explained that the state of affairs in Abia was worrisome and called for urgent redress in the forthcoming polls.
“Is it not an irony that courts in Abia State have been on an indefinite strike due to a backlog of salary arrears and yet, Governor Orji is shamelessly and vacuously threatening litigation against me in the same courts he is callously indebted to?
“It is only in Abia that we have both governor and de facto governor, Chinedu Orji the governor’s son control the state’s resources. How do you expect a governor, who cannot control his wife and son to rule a state of about six million? It is just sad that we have an incompetent, fraudulent, wicked, inconsistent and traitorous man at the helm of affairs.
“For Governor Orji to say I am another Olusegun Obasanjo shows that he has no moral compunction and has no modicum of respect for former President Obasanjo.
“He should not dabble or cause further disaffection between President Jonathan and former President Obasanjo. As I said in my last interview with some journalists, Governor Orji is a treacherous sycophant that will abandon President Jonathan in the nearest future”, he said.
The former governor re-affirmed his stand that rigging and intimidation would be aggressively resisted in the forthcoming polls.
“I am sounding a note of warning to Governor Orji that if he and his co-travellers dare make use of the army and police for his selfish ambition, the people will confront any one that attempts to upturn their will”, he added.
