Igbos In FCT, North Endorse Buhari

Igbos in the 19 northern
states of  the nation  and  the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the aegis of Igbo Delegates Assembly (IDA), have declared their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The President General of  the body, Sam Demian Enyama, while declaring the group’s  support for  Buhari at his campaign office in Abuja, stated that  they were supporting Buhari because he is a man of impeccable character.
He urged  Igbo to downplay  religious and tribal sentiments in the coming elections and vote for General Buhari come March 28.
In his speech, the   Eze’udo of the 19 northern states, Uche Egenti,  said, “ We are here to support your aspiration to become the president of this country.  We know you, it is easier to work with you because of what you stand for. We do not want to experience another civil war in the country.  We therefore plead with you   to help re-organise  Nigeria again. We want discipline to reign again.’’
Responding, Buhari said, “I am happy for your support  for APC and  your confidence in me . I assure you that you will not regret it.”
