Ideye Targets English FA Cup Semis

Brown Ideye will look to
inspire West Bromwich Albion to a place in the FA Cup semifinals when they travel to Aston Villa tomorrow.
The striker has enjoyed an excellent 2015 for the Baggies, including scoring two goals in a 4-0 win over West Ham United in the previous round, and will be expected to lead the line for Tony Pulis’ team at Villa Park.
West Brom also have Ideye’s compatriot Victor Anichebe, as well as Benin attacker Stephane Sessegnon and DRC hard-man Youssouf Mulumbu on their books, making them easily the most African-laden side left in the FA Cup.
The first quarterfinal tomorrow afternoon sees Reading – who have Nigerian duo Hope Akpan and Yakubu Aiyegbeni on their player roster – play away to Bradford, the surprise package of the competition so far.
Sunday’s action sees Kolo Toure’s Liverpool host Blackburn Rovers at Anfield. African duo Yann Songo’o (Cameroon) and Rudy Gestede (Benin) will hope to see some playing time for the away side.
The undoubted ‘big game’ of the quarterfinals will take place on Monday night at Old Trafford when Manchester United host Arsenal in a heavyweight battle of the FA Cup’s two most successful teams (they have each won it 11 times).
