Ibrahim Scores Again In Slovakia
Former Nigeria youth in
ternational Rabiu Ibrahim was on target again for his Slovak club Trencin as they beat DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda 3-0.
Trencin top the league table with 47 points from 23 games.
The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder hit the target for his team in the 50th minute to give them a 2-0 lead, thus scoring his second goal in the league.
His first was on February 28 in a 2-0 win over Dukia.
Ibrahim was once dubbed “New Okocha” after his exploits with the Nigeria U17 and U20 teams in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
He played for Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), PSV (Holland), Kilmarnock and Celtic (both of Scotland).
Gabros chase Ex-Eagles star Kaita
Promoted Gabros have made a move to sign Nigeria international Sani Kaita as they aim to make an impact in the Nigerian top-flight league this season.
Sani Kaita, who has ended his deal with Saxan in Moldova, told newsmen that Gabros are one of several clubs he is talking to, but nothing has been agreed yet.
“Gabros are one of the teams who want me and we are discussing,” the midfielder informed.
“I have not agreed deal with Gabros or any other teams who have shown interest in me, a decision will be made soon on where I will play.”
Former Kano Pillars star Kaita featured for Enyimba last season before he returned to Europe.
Meanwhile, NNL champions Gabros have signed ex-Golden Eaglets left back Usman Amodu on a six-month loan deal, the players close confidant stated.
