I Won’t Accept Rigged Poll Results -Princewill
The Labour Party Governorship candidate in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill has warned that if the governorship election in the state was not free and fair, he will not accept the outcome.
Princewill, who stated this on Monday while speaking at The Rivers Debate 2015 organised by the Stakeholders Democratic Network, warned that if the big parties did not win fairly and squarely, his party will not allow them sleep.
“If they do not win better and squarely, we will not allow them sleep’’, he vowed.
The Labour Party candidate urged all political parties to play according to the rules as he warned his party members to shun violence, adding that violence is not the solution.
He regretted that the high crime rate and violence in the state was because the state government and the security agencies were not on the same page.
According to him, we must find partnerships, the state government must partner with the police, and individuals must form partnership and build partnership with security agencies.
He said those in illegal activities of oil theft; must key into the state government’s programmes, adding that the government must create opportunity and find an alternative means of livelihood for them.
He, however, promised to create employment for the people of the state, adding that he has widely consulted the people, and knows their problems.
