Heartland Signs 12 New Players For New Season

Heartland FC of Owerri
has signed 12 new players including Iniobong Joseph from Jeunesse Sportive d’Agonlio of Benin Republic ahead of the 2014/2015 NPFL season.
The club’s media officer Cajetan Nwokpara disclosed that the 12 newly recruited players include two goalkeepers, David Obiozo (El Kanemi) and Uche Nwokeji (Supreme Court) and two defenders, Wale Doyeni and Akporido Solomon (Kaduna United).
Others are midfielders Uche Odiche (Warri Wolves) and Mathew Emmanuel, who was drafted into the main team from the Heartland feeders.
Completing the list are striker Mohammed Mohammed (ABS), Emeka Oparaugo (Campos FC) and Aoku Chidiebere.
Their opening match is this weekend at home against champions Kano Pillars.
