Gov Imoke Attributes Success To Team Work
The Cross River State
Governor Senator Liyel Imoke, has attributed the rapid transformation in the state to team work.
The governor who was addressing party faithfuls recently at the PDP rally held at Ikot Nakanda, headquarters of Akpabuyo Local Government Area, said the rapid infrastructural development was a testimony that the vision of working together was to the advantage of the people.
Governor Imoke stated that unity and peace would continue to be a catalyst for the progress of any community and that any good vision could be truncated by selfish interests.
He said the core nature of the PDP was reconciliatory and that during his tenure, the party had built a strong and united family on whose back many within and outside the party had ridden to stardom.
Senator Imoke enjoined the people to do away with propaganda and think about the future of Akpabuyo as many youths had already taken advantage of opportunities created by his administration.
Making a brief remark at the well attended rally, the PDP flag-bearer, Senator Ben Ayade, proposed a meeting with the people of Akpabuyo to come up with a blueprint for the development of the Local Government Area.
Notable speakers at the rally included; the Minister of Culture and Tourism and Supervising Minister of Information, High Chief Edem Duke, a former Commissioner for Lands/Housing and former Managing Director, Tinapa Business Resort, Architect Bassey Ndem, Pastor Essien Ayi, member Federal House of Representative. Others were; Director General, Ayade Campaign Organization, Ntufam Ekpo Okon and Deputy Chairman, PDP, Barr Fidel Ebi Egoro who took turns to address the mammoth crowd of party loyalists soliciting for massive support for the party.
The rally was preceded with a visit to the paramount ruler of Akpabuyo, His Royal Majesty, Etinyin (Dr.) Etim Okon Ekpo and the inspection of facilities in the second phase of the civil servants low cost Housing Estate, comprising 250 units of detached and semidetached bungalows all at advanced level of completion.
