Diamond Bank, Beat FM Hold World Music Day …As Fans Declear Sunny Neji Missing In Action
This year’s world
music day which holds annually every February 25th witnessed what many consider the largest gathering of music and social media in Nigeria. It was put together by Beat FM and supported by Diamond Bank Plc. The celebration was held at the prestigious landmark events centre Lagos.
In their address at the celebration, the Diamond Bank MD/CEO, Mr Uzoma Dozie emphasized the need to finance the entertainment industry while Chris Ubosi, founder of the Beat FM, stressed his interest in the future of the Nigerian music and entertainment industry and called for a machinery to be set up to discuss it yearly.
Meanwhile, some concerned fans of Nigeria’s popular sonorous highlife crooner, Sunny Nneji have declared their music idol as missing in action in the music scene since after the release of his last popular album titled “Eruka”
The album was well relieved and earned him several awards and endorsements including Hollandia Yoghurt, Chu Exotic Flavoury etc. However, some of his close associates have disclosed that the highlife sensation is in the studious cooking up something that would be interesting and new considering the latest trend of sound and music of the current times.
The source noted that “Sunny is very much around and working in the studio with another chart buster. Nigeria music is evolving and he wants to be at par with the latest trend. He will never play anything other than his brand of highlife which touches several listeners”
