Odum, during a courtesy visit to the palace of the monarch in Oginigba community, last Friday.

The deputy governorship
candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Hon. Honourable Asita last Friday, openly wept before the council of Ikwerre traditional rulers  and elders over what he called incessant attacks on APC members in the state by suspected  agents of the Peoples   Democratic Party (PDP)
Asita, who went down on his kneels  shedding tears  before the Ikwerre  monarchs at the Oroigwe  town  hall in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state, lamented the alleged criminal activities  of some politicians in the opposition and therefore called on traditional rulers to call the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike to order.
According to him, the violent activities were beyond politics and were capable  of setting  the state  ablaze if not checked.
He said  that Wike has become a  warlord that recruited  and sponsored  youths for violence  in a bid to impose himself on the Rivers people.
Hon. Asita alleged that the   attacks on APC members in Andoni, Ogoni, Omoku, Okrika, and Kalabari areas of the state, were sponsored and carried out by Wike group.
He urged the traditional rulers to save the Ikwerre  ethnic  nationality and the entire state from  pre and post-election violence by calling Wike to order.
Asita condemned the attack on APC  members at Eliopranwo and attributed it to the failure by  Ikwerre  monarch to prevail on Wike.
