Benvic Cricket Club Strengthens Lead In PH League

Benvic Cricket Club of Port
Harcourt at the weekend thrashed K-11 Cricket Club by 43 runs in the week 12 fixture of the 2014/2015 Port Harcourt Cricket League season.
The match which was the final play-off of the league witnessed a four wicket win by Ifeanyi Uboh of Benvic CC to emerge Man of the Match (MOM) at the Saturday game.
With the victory over K-11 CC, Benvic CC remains top on the log table of 2014/2015 league with eight (8) points from matches played so far.
While, Whales Cricket Club is four points behind Benvic CC followed by K-11 and defending champions, Panthers CC, who finished the league with two (2) points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Benvic CC is expected to encounter Whales CC in the final game of the league season while, Panthers CC and K-11 would battle for third place next month in Port Harcourt.
The final play-off date is tentatively scheduled to hold on 18th of next month.
The venue for the final of the competition remains the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Choba cricket pitch.
