AY, Basket Mouth Acquire New Automobiles
Gone are the days when
humour mongers or comedians were regarded as school drop outs, court jesters and ‘never do wells’, today, comedy is one of the leading professions not only in Nigeria, but the worLd at large.
They are now respected globally, they wine and dine with top echelons in the society with stupendous wealth to show for their hArd work in the comic trade.
Recently, Top Nigerian Comedians Ay and Basket mouth have been reaping the benefits of their hard work as they have decided to embark on spending their money on the state-of-the art automobiles that run into millions of naira. The first to treat himself to one of the finest things in life is comedian turned actor, Ayo Makun popularly known as Ay.
The Ondo State-born actor cum comedian rewarded himself for all his hardwork in the past year by increasing the number of automobiles in his garage with a brand new Jaguar XJL worth millions of naira. His block buster, star studded movie “30 Days in Atlanta” racked in N150 million, the highest since the inception of movie screening in Nigeria cinemas. The movie picked up the new Era award at the recently held Africa magic movie award.
Following suit is Bright Okpocha, other wise known as Basket Mouth. The Abia State born comedian bought himself a brand new 2015 Lexus 570 SUV worth a whooping N26 million naira among other fleet of cars in his garage and other expensive items.
However, Rivers State is not left out as the state has produced indigenous comedians who are equally successful in the humour trade. They include internationally acclaimed comedian, singer and actor, Julius Agwu, Prince Hezekiah, Dan D’ Humourous, Rugged Pastor and a host of others.
