Architect Swindles Client Over Building Plan Approval
An architect in Abuja,
Umar Abdulsalam has allegedly swindled his client Adamu Baba over a deal on building plan approval.
Narrating his ordeal to journalists in Abuja last Thursday on the matter, Baba claimed that he paid the sum of N5.5 million into the account of the architect at the Guaranty Trust Bank.
He told newsmen that the said amount was paid to the architect with the account Number 0023107682 at the bank based on their agreement.
Baba, who is of the All Nigeria Conference of Principles of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) also explained that he agreed with the said architect to process the approval for the building plan of ANCOPSS secretariat along Kuje, Gwagwalada road in Abuja.
According to him, the architect, Mr. Umaru Abdulsalam refused to live up to his responsibility, and did not keep to his promise as agreed.
He however, vowed not to leave the matter, but to take every legal means to ensure that the money is recovered.
Baba also told Journalists that the said architect has admitted that he received the sum of N2.5 million, but that the balance of the sum is the main issue in contention, for which the job it was meant to exercise is yet to be done and for which reason, legal action will be taken to recover it.
